Investment Data & Research Intern

About the Role
The Dudley Fund offers Investment Data & Research internships for motivated, detail-oriented students interested in supporting our research, diligence, and analytical efforts. Our team provides financial and human capital to help Vermont founders scale their businesses and impact. Our mission is to deliver returns for our investors while strengthening Vermont’s economy by supporting entrepreneurs who create jobs, attract and retain talent, grow the tax base, and generate investable wealth.
This competitive internship is ideal for top-performing students who demonstrate outstanding analytical skills, strong intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in investment research.
Our internships typically span three months and align with the academic semester schedule, though we offer flexibility to adjust the duration based on a candidates availability and goals
Interns work from our private office space at Hula, collaborating directly with the Managing Partner. This close mentorship provides exposure to real-world investment processes, diligence workflows, and strategic decision-making. It is a unique opportunity to take on meaningful, high-impact research and analysis within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Organize diligence materials and maintain structured documentation for active research projects.
Draft investment memos and internal briefs to support investment evaluations.
Conduct market, industry, and competitor research to help identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Collect and organize data from various sources to support internal analyses and reporting.
Perform basic data analysis, including financial comparisons and trend evaluation.
Assist with other operational or administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as reasonably needed.
Qualifications
Strong interest in investments, finance, economics, or related fields.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Comfortable working with data in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Self-driven, organized, and able to work independently with limited supervision in a professional environment.
